Madman has been on The Edge from the very beginning—a decade ago. He’s toning down his Madman ways a bit now, but he still likes heavy rock, fast cars and jumping his boat.
Life as a DJ seemed inevitable—at just 3 years old, Madman remembers ripping the bottom off a big garbage can and installing a record player in it so he could make louder music with his kid records.
Raised in the wilds of Badger Road, Madman has lived in Fairbanks “forever,” and fears he may spend eternity on Birch Hill overlooking Wal-Mart! But every time he gets out of the city, he can’t wait to get back, for some reason.
When he’s not on the air, Madman enjoys listening to the sounds of his motors. He likes fast cars and boats— he has a ’41 Plymouth, and is passionate about his boat, which he says “can jump about 3 feet out of the water and sounds like a pro-street dragster!”
Favorite bands are too many list, but if he had to, Madman would include old-school favorites like Suicidal Tendencies, Queensrÿche and Cannibal Corpse. He admits he’s pretty eclectic and leans towards the harder stuff to relieve his pent-up frustration!
